Refrigeration Condensing Unit.  (Multi-voltage)

Two condensing unit models:  The C450 (or C480) refrigeration unit is the heart of the Ozefridge system, housing the compressor, condensers, electronics, fan, control system, digital temperature read-out, external refrigeration and electrical couplings.
The C450 has a Danfoss BD50 compressor and suits most applications while the C480 uses the larger Danfoss BD80 to suit even larger cabinets, combination fridge / freezers and commercial applications.
Both C450 and C480 are externally identical with all connections and couplings on the right side.
Overall C450 and C480 units are both 240mm wide (Plus at least 100mm needed for couplings on right) x 300 deep x 195 high. Allow an additional 50mm minimum at the rear and above for air movement.

  1. Eutectic plate case pressed from 316 grade stainless steel.
  2. Rear mounting plate has wall offset. (Except T50-40).
  3. Mounting holes in rear plate. (In each corner on the model T50-40).
  4. Bolted construction with flexible seal. (No welds to fatigue and leak)
  5. Ozefridge decal indicates orientation. (This is a 'Landscape' plate)
  6. Single insulation hose 25mm Diam, hoses pipes and wiring.
  7. Spare twin wire from C450 for powering cabinet fan, light etc.
  8. Sure-Thaw's temperature sensor reads from inside the eutectic mass.
  9. Brass filler. Eutectic solution is best filled after mounting.

Build quality:  Correct product engineering, quality control, testing, cleanliness and component management  are paramount in our production.   Fig 1

Control and power management: The eutectic system is digitally controlled by the 'Sure-Thaw' controller. This allows the system to refreeze the eutectic mass then thaw correctly (through phase change) ensuring that it operates truly as a eutectic system. The controller is easily programmed and has memory retention of settings.
The left side switch allows the choice of 'Normal' compressor speed (most efficient) or 'Plus 40' which increases speed by 40%.  When fitted the optional ECO2 (as described on our 'Packages' page), is engaged by switching to 'Plus 40). The right side switch is for selecting water cooling is required. (Then operates automatically with the compressor if selected)    Fig 2

Multi-function condenser:  This unique Ozefridge triple pass condenser has separate twin  circuits. One circuit allows cooling (condensing) of the refrigerant like a normal condenser, while the second circuit allows water to cool the actual condenser and therefore the refrigerant without having contact with the refrigerant galleries. The common problems of electrolysis destroying systems is eliminated. Being able to operate as an air only condenser or air plus water cooling ensures proper condensing in any envioronment.    Fig 3  (Plan view sketch)

Danfoss compressors:  We only provide systems powered by the proven Danfoss BD50 and BD80 comressors. (We don't offer the smaller BD35)  Fig 4 (See cut-away)

Power supply: All Ozefridge C450 systems are powered using the Danfoss multi-voltage motor driver. This allows the system to operate from any 12 / 24 VDC  and any 110 / 240 VAC supply. The system will automatically use the highest voltage presented. No need for mains power converters.   Fig 5
Automatically resetting low voltage, over load and over temperature cut-out along with soft start, start delay and polarity protection, are part of the built in fail-safe protection.

Manufacture, quality control and shipping: .All systems are manufactured by Ozefridge at Toolamba, Australia. The assembly process line provides a clean and practical environment for the manufacture of these precision products. Systems are coupled, evacuated, and tested with their covers off providing open access for leak testing and the first quality control inspection.  Fig 6   Completely assembled systems are again inspected with individual system aspects documented. Quality control is a priority and, along with correct engineering, is the reason why Ozefridge have never to our knowledge had a Danfoss compressor failure either in or out of warranty. Fig 7
Packaging is important as systems are sent world wide. Components are bubble wrapped then packed in a sturdy carton with styrene packers to prevent shipping damage. Australian delivery is via Star Track Express. Internationally via DHL. Fig 8

Ltd. supplies refrigeration systems to be installed by others in the owner's existing or new cabinet that has insulation properties we can not be assured of, we do not guarantee cabinet temperature outcomes or system ability in this or any other quotation or statement.
